I love this cd because it features a mello, quieter Neil Diamond. While I also love his early music, this cd is a lovely departure from the sound everyone associates with him. A melodic voice with the beautiful guitar playing lends to a very restful cd. My favorite song on this cd is the first track, "Oh Mary". Neil has a new sound throughout and I give it 5 stars. I hope to hear more of this quality sound in the near future from Neil. He only improves with age. | |

i like most of neil diamond cd s--- but this is not a good cd by him--- would not purchase again-- do not recommend for --diamond fans-- this is his worse-- i have four other neil diamond cds. this is the only cd i have ever heard by him that i do not like. | |

I enjoyed Neil when he came upon the scene; I have enjoyed this offering now. He seems to want to just sing and play and reach out. I suspect this also has a lot to do with Rick Rubin's production. Good partnership. Very Good music. | |
