About 4 months ago I started reading Debbie Macomber books and found them delightful. There are very quick books as Macomber grabs you from the get-go. Not high drama, more romance than anything. The characters are all loveable and some carry from book to book. I usually read her books after I read a really intense one. Very light-hearted...I recommend this one and all her others too.

311 Pelican Court

I purchased "311 Pelican Court" because I had a portion of the Cove series and wanted to complete it. I have not yet read it, but will soon. I have never read a book by Debbie Macomber that I didn't like. I would recommend this series, or any of her other books, to anyone who likes romances without a lot of descriptive sex scenes. (If it were a movie, I'd rate it PG13.) You get to know the characters intimately and care about what happens to them. I also would love to live in the setting. The area these books are loosely based on is a small town in Washington State where I actually have spent a lot of time before moving from the area.

Cedar Cove Series by Debbie Macomber
by: ldybug5010 (67Feedback is 50 to 99) Review created: 06/08/07

Debbie Macomber is my favorite author! Her Cedar Cove series ( 6 books with a 7th coming in August ), is great. The people in her books seem like old friends, and you can't wait to see what's going to happen with them. She has a way with dialogue, that makes you feel like you're listening to old friends talk.
Each book in her series focus's on a different "friend", with relationships between all the main charachters.
I love the fact that she's a fellow Washingtonian too, and I got to meet Debbie at a local book signing recently, which was a big thrill!
I recommend all of Debbie Macomber's books; her Blossom Street series is great to.
What a great story teller she is!

This book continues the Cedar Cove series, set in Washington. Debbie Macomber does an excellent job of keeping us interested in the settled characters, as well as introducing new ones. It is an easy read book. I bought the book so I would be able to continue reading the series.

I love the light-heartedness of this book. You get to know the characters and are interested in what is happening with them and then you must read the next book in the series. This one was very good and I can't wait to read 44 Cranberry Point.
