| 6 out of 6 people found the following review helpful. This natural disaster theme is narrated by Tom Dheere. Ms. Steel's story is about Sarah Sloane, a San Francisco socialite who is hosting a gala celebrity event for charity. Grammy winner, Melanie, will be there and many others to make it a huge success. During the event a devastating earthquake strikes. Panic is everywhere but celebrity photographer, Everett Carson, keeps snapping pictures left and right. He sees a beautiful nun administering to the victims and is taken aback. She seems in her element and her name is Sister Mary Magdalen. Sarah, Everett, Melanie and Sister Mary, find that the moment of this time brings out long held secrets and each of them is compelled to re-examine their lives. It does seem that it takes a tragedy to change someone's life. I think Ms. Steel's fans will love this new work. It has a spiritual tone which is different from most of her other books. | |

This book was very good, however it was dragged out longer than necessary, I always like Daniel Steeles writing, but this was just so-so. | |
