The real-life characters of this event leap from the celluiod in a nonstop, action-packed, Hollywood blockbuster, and popularized the term, "Failure is Not an Option". It is a movie not only about a space mission but about family and friendship as well. The realism sucks you into the story. You are there. It is an emotional ride, taking you from highs to lows. This is a must have dvd if you have hd. The sound alone is outstanding. The optics are also superb because of the hd format. As always I have always enjoyed Apollo 13... this is just another plus. I recommend it if you have a hd dvd player. Don't see much benefit by having blu-ray. My son-in-law has a blu-ray...can't really see the difference that constitutes the additional costs. | |

From what we where able to watch from a defective copy, it contains an outstanding HD transfer in both video & audio. This is one of those movies you definitely want to have in your collection. We already put an order for a replacement from a brick & mortar store and should be arriving shortly to pass onto our patrons entertainment. | |
