I dislike the fact that I did not receive the item and there was virtually nothing that could be done about it. I contacted the seller and he was no longer living at the shipping address so he could not check to see if it had been sent back to him, that is, if he ever sent it at all. I bought this book and paid for it because I needed it for my class. I never received the book. I am extremely displeased with Ebay and it has led me to never want to use your services again. I have lost/thrown away so much money on 2 items that I never received that it makes me sick. From now on I will stick to amazon.com! Claire Pesch | |

This book is the most thorough biology book I know of without being completely and utterly boring! It's actually quite interesting, and the pictures/diagrams/etc are very helpful. There are also numerous companion materials for those who like to buy more to study on the book (i.e. online companion, study guide, practice exam questions, etc.). This is one textbook I'd never sell back! | |

It's a solid book on the fundamentals of biology. Though the examples can be better expressed and simplified. Being a college text is perfect, but the usage in school's biology AP class might be a bit challenging to the younger students. Overall it is a good book with in depth discussion of the basics of Biology. I decided to buy this book, because my sister's class requires the text and the CD. I think that this book is better than many of the Biology books out there, but it is geared towards those of higher education. | |

This book has lots of pictures for those who need 'em. I find that pictures are easier to learn and memorize, since thats what passing biology is all about. I bought the study guide to this book and it was one of the best books I ever bought. I summarized ALL the chapters in much easier terms, and it also includes those much loved pictures:) | |
