You play more than one character throughout this game and you see different perspectives. It is very cinematic which makes the game even better. Playability: 5 out of 5 Graphics: 4.5 out of 5 Controls: 5 out of 5 Audio: 5 out of 5 Story: 5 out of 5 Overall the game is very entertaining and worth the purchase. However, if you do decide to purchase the game, go ahead and try it on Hard or Veteran difficulty. It is mildly easy on hard, and I don't play too many first person shooters myself. Veteran will give you a good match throughout the game. Some annoying things that occurred throughout the game was dying from enemy grenades. At times, literally, bullets would stop flying at you and what seems to be 20 grenades fly at your feet surrounding you. I don't know if this is a life like reality or not, but it sure was annoying after the first 2 campaigns. A very disappointing aspect for me personally was the loss of 2 player co-op. Everyone loves to sit down with a buddy and blast away with enemies, working as a team and helping one another out. But Call of Duty decided to take that away from the previous version as they created this version. Overall, the game gets a 4.5 out of 5. It is still an excellent game and really fun. If you don't mind a short game and single player campaign, this is a great game for you. If you found this review helpful, please click the "Yes" button below! Thank you!

Great visuals, Fantastic score and great pacing. the first mission is a little misleading though...you squad are like super men...you could just watch and they would finish the level for you but after that the training wheels fly off!!!! My advice to staying alive in single player is follow orders and listen for enemy positions...you'll need all the help you can get. If your not a FPS vet pick normal or easy or you'll fall prey to what will no doubt feel like cheap deaths that could be avoided by veterans of the grenre. For those who pick the last two difficulties get ready for enemies that flank and rain grenades on you. Not to mention flash bang you can close in for the kill! these guys pack rpgs and have no problem using them. get ready for a tough fight. Presentation- Nice menus simple and to the point....maybe a little too simple. great mission briefings. Nice hud gives you all the info without the fluff. Graphics- Great visiuals from gritty backstreets to russian contrysides. nice details like rpg trails to the plume of smoke from an explosion. Framerate keeps at a steady pace even with all the action going on . Sound- The score is beautiful....moving, gets you in the action. Guns sound like they're supposed to with umph!. Top level of quality from evey bullet wiz to enemy chatter to com chatter...amazing job. Gameplay- Everything feels and plays smooth. The controls are great I never had problems aiming and taking out an enemy. The autosave is a life saver. mutiplayer could have used more game type though. Lasting Appeal- Fanastic singleplayer then throw in deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the bomb plus downloadable content in the future..well it makes for a bright long future for Call of Duty. Overall- Its an amazing FPS that any 360 owner should look into buying, period.

After playing through the final build, it’s clear in my personal opinion that this is the favorite moving into the last days of 2007. Everything has come together brilliantly, from the nonstop intensity of the offline campaign to the endlessly replayable multiplayer offering. Simply put, Call of Duty 4 is one of the absolute best games to grace any platform to date.

So sayeth the folks at Infinity Ward, developers of the celebrated Call of Duty series. This is the franchise (along with EA’s Medal of Honor series) that brought the genre to a new level of immersion and intensity that we had never seen before. However, thanks to a glut of imitators (some quite good, some terrible), gamers quickly tired of the WWII shooter, especially ones that didn’t offer any new gameplay mechanics or innovations. Now, with the upcoming release of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, they’re about to relegate the WWII shooter to history’s dustbin. Infinity Ward has succeeded in creating a masterpiece of the first-person shooter genre, adeptly blending an intense, story-driven single-player campaign with an addictive multiplayer mode. Modern Warfare kicks off with a brief tutorial designed to teach the player about the game’s controls, followed by a trip through a testing area. Though this was created to determine which difficulty level the player should attempt, this editor highly recommends that hardcore shooter fans play on the Hardened difficultly level. Like Halo 3, the normal level is just a bit too easy, and most players will be able to get through it without too much trouble. There have been a lot of people questioning how long Call of Duty 4 is, and the answer depends mainly on how you want to experience the game. Personally, I found that 8-10 extremely intense hours on Hardened was more fun than 6-7 very intense hours on Regular. As you might have gathered, this is one hell of an intense ride no matter what difficultly you play on. Any last requests? While the previous Call of Duty games simply followed characters through their particular WWII campaigns, Infinity Ward decided to scrap that approach in favor of a tight narrative structure. The plot is seemingly ripped right out of the headlines, touching on everything from Islamic fundamentalism to missing Soviet-era warheads, as well as a number of other hot-button issues. I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting too much from the story, as I’ve seen all of this Tom Clancyesque stuff before. However, I’m happy to say that I was blown away by just how engaging and immersive it was. Modern Warfare features a number of stunning plot-driven sequences, and the fact that many of these scenes are shown from the first-person perspective only makes them that much more gripping. Part of what makes the story so great is the fact that you’ll actually feel an emotional attachment to the soldiers fighting alongside you. These aren’t just a bunch of random dudes who run into battle with you, although there are a few of them here and there. Instead, you’ll spend the majority of your time watching their backs as they watch yours, and you’ll likely come to enjoy the interplay between your teammates. The British S.A.S. squad is particularly memorable, and we’re sure that Capt. Price and Gaz will go down as two of the most beloved supporting characters in the history of the Xbox 360. To say that Capt. Price is one of gaming’s biggest badasses is an understatement, and we really hope that he gets a spin-off of his very own in the future. Although some people out there might gripe that they can’t give orders to their teammates or some such nonsense, we found that not only could our squadmates hold their own in battle, they were actually too good at times. Overall Rating- 10 out of 10

You die very fast though while being shot! If the host leaves, the game ends. The graphics however are incredible and the weapon selection is superior.

The online action is so awsome, I try to get on as much as possible. I think there should be more call of duty versions, in the future. I can't wait. thanks, Mack

| Call of Duty 4 (Halo Killer) | |

Not that I'm a hardcore player I think Halo does some things really well that other games can't touch. Call of Duty on the other hand does many things very well. Graphics - for me are assential especially when we refer to these games as true next-gen hi-def games. COD(Call of Duty) 4 does not disappoint in this respect. I've had the priviledge of playing both the PS3 and 360 versions and I have to admit that they are almost exactly identical. Sound - is another no-brainer. With Dolby Surround with almost all the new games it's hard to complain unless there is some really horrid voice acting but you won't find that in this game. Gameplay - First of all IMHO I really feel that this game takes the best from it's own COD predecessors, Halo and Socom and possibly others which I can't think of. The main single player game is good and in true COD fashion it is story driven and excellent in putting you right in the action and making you feel like you are really there. Everone who has XBOX Live will tell you that the online multiplayer is where it's at and I believe every single one of them. The online gaming experience for this game is amazing. Maps are very well thought out and the deep reward system for weapons and accessories is what keeps me playing to unlock something or leveling up to attain new ranks. Like I said the weapon system is really deep and unlocking scopes and red dots for your favorite weapons is more than half the fun. Challenges are great also enabling you to gain experience points or unlock things by completing certain tasks(challenges). Possible the only thing missing for me is some sort of split screen play. I love LAN parties and with TVs getting larger and definition getting higher I really don't see why more games aren't taking advantage of split-screen. I could just imagine playing with 4 Xbox's or PS3's, 4 TVs, 16 players, team death match, sabotage, capture the flag etc. It may be a minor gripe but one that I believe is valid as well as other Halo players. Final Conclusion - Buy this game and don't miss out on possibly one of the best 1st person shooters ever made. My friends and I have been playing this for months and it doesn't look like we're going to slow down any time soon.

I wish there were online acheivements but there are not. Leveling has nothing to do with how good you are just how much you play. There are many different games to play online such as deathmatch, tactical games, headquarters etc. more games unlock as you get more exp. from playing. You can make your own weapon classes which you can unlock different pieces to your weapon you choose. You can put red dot site, silencers, have C4, different grenades like smoke grenades, etc. The Campaign is very good. The story incorporates different things like shooting with snipers, uzis, rifles, pistols, etc. Also killing enemies with stealth, using scenery to hide behind, etc. Very Good Game Top 5 Games ive ever played.
