It doesn't matter if you're a Dean Koontz fan, you WILL become an Odd Thomas fan. Odd Thomas is one of the most likeable characters I have ever come across. As you get further into the novel you will start to really identify with Mr. Thomas. Forever Odd is just as good, if not better than the original novel in this series (Odd Thomas, Dean Koontz). Odd has grown up a bit, and this novel is a little more graphic than the original, but Forever Odd, like Odd Thomas, is impossible to put down. Borrow or Buy?: BUY, BUY, BUY!!! If you haven't read Odd Thomas yet, DO NOT buy this book. Well... buy it, but don't read it. Make sure to read Odd Thomas first. Both books are worth buying and get my 100% stamp of aproval. 5/5 Be sure to watch out for Brother Odd, the third novel in this spectacular series, due out November 28, 2006. PLEASE VOTE IF YOU FIND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL. Thank you.

This book was amazing and was very captivating. I found it hard to put the book down at night and not finish it to see what happens next. He leaves a few untied ends but that is to ensure the success of future Odd Thomas books in the series. With new characters and a more stunning plot than the first, this is a must have book for any library and definately for Dean Koontz lovers. Get the book, and let yourself get enthralled for a few days, you will not be disappointed.

Enjoyable read, spunky character. Takes the phenom of "I see dead people" in a different direction. Elvis puts in an appearance. We'll need to find a way to get this guy some happiness though; he's got it tough.

I love to read and Dean Koontz is one of my favorite authors. Originally, I started looking on e-bay specifically for this book because it is 1 of 3 and I had already read the other two. My local library didn't have it so I searched e-bay. I was so happy when I found it almost immediately. So now I'm building my Koontz collection solely from books bought on e-bay.

This is an excellent book to read! It's the second story in the series of Odd Thomas. I couldn't hardly put it down! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes action mixed with a little paranormal. You can't help but love Odd Thomas after reading these books! Dean Koontz has a way of writing that makes you keep wanting to read until it's over.

I decided to buy this book because of the author. Dean Koontz is a remarkable writer and always keeps me guessing about how the story is going to end. I have read several of his books and will continue to read them. He has a vast library of writings and I extend to eventually enjoy all of them. "Forever Odd" is the second in a series of three books. I was so consumed by the first book, "Odd Thomas" that I read it in a matter of days and generally it takes me a few weeks with my schedule. I would especially recommend these books and the next which is "Brother Odd" to anyone who loves a good action thriller with a little believable supernatural mixed in.

Forever Odd is the second in a trilogy of books by Dean Koontz. I originally bought Brother Odd because the title entrigued me. I found out it was the 3rd in the series and had to find the first two, Odd Thomas and Forever Odd before reading it. Although these are stand alone stories the correct sequence makes the series more compelling. Odd Thomas was misnamed at birth but adjusted to being ODD as he developed a fascinating ability to communicate with the dead. One of his most constant companions is the King, Elvis Presley. His adventures move quickly and hold you to them but Koontz's character is a very human soul who happens to have an unusual gift that leads him into hazardous ventures to help the living and the dead. From short order cook to a peaceful existence in a monastery, interrupted of course by evil that only he is aware of. The life of Odd Thomas is anything but dull. Quite a ride!

2nd Odd book I've read. Having finished the first, I was curious about the second. I did enjoy it. No wildly. Was very intraspective and wordy. But I found out if you skip over the wordy part you will miss important clues. Needless to say, I also read the 3rd book. They are a nice read, but they are in the Dean Koontz style of too much as in being too "wordy". I find I want to skim over parts because of it. But I do so admire the character and his goodness and honesty. Yes I will get the next installment.
