| 6 out of 9 people found the following review helpful. Trenton, New Jersey's bounty hunter, Stephanie Plum, is a riot! In this 4th novel, Maxine Nowicki is charged with stealing her boyfriend's car, but she skips bail and is a no show in court. Steph is hot on her trail. This book will have Stephanie invading a casino in Atlantic City with her grandma Mazur and co-worker Lula in tow and not to mention, Sally, a 7 foot transvestite singer! Everyone is packing heat except Stephanie....funny. Whe she returns home she finds her has no apartment or car (again) so has to move in with Joe Morelli, the hunky cop who is one of her love interest in this series. I love the run ins with arch rival Joyce Barnhardt, the woman who she caught her ex-husband in bed with. After finding another dead body she finally gets Maxine. Stephanie Plum is no P.I., but her antics will have you roaring with laughter. The characters who are regulars in this series are eccentric and crazy! My favorites are Lula and Connie. | |

Stephanie Plum, bounty hunter, extraordinaire, is tracking Maxine Nowicki, wanted for skipping out on a car-theft charge lodged by her ex-boyfriend, who also wants to find her (for murderous reasons). Evanovich introduces Sally Sweet, a cross-dressing drag queen, who gets into the swing of things and sticks like glue to Stephanie, (helping?) to track down Maxine before her boyfriend finds her. Of course, Stephanie also has the (help?)of Lula, the 250-pound retired hooker who turned filer in the bail bonds office, and her Grandma Mazur, a Glock-toting, trash-talking senior who thinks she's an assistant bounty hunter. And then, of course, there's Joyce, whom Stephanie caught playing 'hide the salami' with her husband--on her own kitchen table. The action just keeps rolling on when Steph's apartment and car are blown up, again, forcing her to move in with Joe Morelli, the hunky cop she's been seeing on and off since she was six years old. Evanovich has done it again, with more action, more twists, more laughs--just more of everything. | |

I absolutly loved this book so much. I think that it might have been the best one in the series so far!!! I really think that if you like mystery and action books mixed with a little bit of sexual tension, that this book is the one for you and that you will not be able to put it down!!! its got sex, drag queens, cops, and the small town life all in one!! | |

Janet Evanovich is an awesome author whose Stephanie Plum series is highly entertaining: hilarious while still engaging the reader in a mystery. It's also environmentally sound to purchase used books, while also money-saving. I will continue to purchase books on ebay for the above listed reasons. | |

Very light very funny reading you will really laugh out loud. Stephanie the bounty hunter gets herself in such messes - and we are all waiting for her and joe to get together, and yes finally in this book it happens. But start from the ist one. One for the money. | |
