| 2 out of 2 people found the following review helpful. This memoir, of Mary Higgins Clark, really gives you a look into the life of this author. She held many very interesting jobs, which allowed her to build up her skills as a writer. She endured many hardships due to the death of close family members. And through all this, she came out to be one of the best action and suspense writers in America. | |

I bought this book some time ago but have not read it completely. I keep books ahead for when I get time to read. As of the present this book is in my car and I take it with me when I go for appointments or have to sit in the car for a prolonged period of time. So far, however, I find it completely interesting. Just recently my husband who is a minister preferred to it in his sermon when he was illustrating identifying characters in a drama. He referred to this book and said that he picked it up in the car while he was waiting for me at the grocery and said that it was just such a book. You actually know the characters from the beginning and don't have to wonder about their place or character in the book. This is a very positive review coming from him. I purchased the book because I am a big fan of Mary Higgins Clark and have read almost all of her books and have copies of most. She and her daughter, Carol, are my most favorite authors. I like their style of writing mysteries. | |
