A bare bones look at the early Beatles. Relaxed, no overdubbing...they were such a very good band, even then. I'm collecting all the Beatles music I can.

What can you say about this CD. It's the Beatles! We discovered recently that the copy my husband has had for a couple of years was messed up pretty bad and would not play. The finish on the CD was coming off in places and in the places that it was coming off it would not play the music. I bought the CD to replace the one that was messed up.

I would say this album is a must for a fan that enjoys hearing the songs that do not have the finished production organization. The songs are bit more raw, which gives the listener insight into the Beatles immense talent. I would say this compilation album is not as good as Anthology 1 but very good still. The liner notes are pretty information filled and have some good pictures, but again the Anthology 1 is better. I would say if you enjoy hearing songs and cuts of songs that are not on albums you would enjoy listening to this compilation.

Great songs that I've never heard the Beatles sing before, also love hearing interviews with them, they still sound so fresh and funny 40 years later. Great CD!

Live @ BBC is a treasure... It's one of my favourite Beatles LP. well, i really like it and recommend it to all Beatles fans. this is what these talented guys sounded like in a personal venue: a room at the BBC rather than studio and lots of over-dubs. They are so talented. Lennon's voice is so strong.
