Misery
by: pettykimbrell (40Feedback is 10 to 49) Review created: 04/05/08

This is one scary book. It is very hard to put down. Misery will suck you in and not let you go until it's over. Even when it is, you will still be thinking about it. Read this book. Be warned, once you begin reading it, you will ignore everything else until you close it. I recomend it. Highly.

One of King's best.
by: bwyatt6946 (77Feedback is 50 to 99) Review created: 03/10/07

This was the first book by King that I read. I picked it randomly at the library when I was about 14. I had no expectations really about the book. I don't think I even read the description on the back. When I started the book though, I couldn't stop, seriously. Extremely intense, very scary, totally engaging. It's one of my favorite books and still my favorite by King. You should read it, you'll love it.

Misery
by: sga-king (1284Feedback is 1,000 to 4,999) Review created: 12/02/06

Stephen King is 2nd on my list of all time greatest authors ( First is Dean Koontz ), I just wish he could write a book a week, Then I wouldnt have to keep waiting for the next one to come out. Im not going to go into details about the book as if you are like me, I prefer to not know anything untill I start reading about it in the book, I have read most of his books so far and I love them all.
So as you can probably guess from what I wrote above, I highly Recomend this book.
This book was made into a film starring James Caan

Misery - Wake up Mr. King - Your #1 fan
by: bettlespin (405Feedback is 100 to 499) Review created: 09/24/06

I don't believe that Misery was quite the Stephen King I expected. The story basically has only 2 main characters. Paul Sheldon, author and victim, and Annie, #1 fan and nurse. This makes it very easy to follow.

Paul, has to bring Misery back to life just before she is to be buried. The way King writes this part and tells her story, is Brilliant.

As for the way the book was written. You could basically figure out what was going to happen way before the end of the book. This was not the suspense that I was expecting from such a great writer.

The book overall kept you wanting more but the suspense was not there.
