Odd Thomas is back in this new Dean Koontz suspense novel. Thomas may be an ordinary fry cook, but he can communicate with the dead. After a harrowing showdown with evil last time, he is now trying to live a more quiet life. Unfortunately, it isn't happening because his dreams are haunted by a blood red tide that takes him to a small town on the coast of California. In this town, nothing is as it seems. From this town will come a shattering revelation.

Koontz has done a good job in drawing out the suspense of the story, which is also a mystery and one of hope for the town. Can Odd Thomas survive the blood red tide?

Odd Hours is the fourth novel in the wonderful series of Odd Thomas. Written by, in my personal opinion - most definately the greatest author I can imagine, Dean Koontz. His fictional character Odd Thomas, is just brilliant. Absolutely superb. I am taken to another world whenever I read a book by Dean Koontz, and this particular novel Odd Hours, has definately stood up to it's reputation. I loved it as always with anything written by a truly genius author.
thankyou to you Mr Dean Koontz. And please, dont ever stop writing fiction, I would be lost without it.

Dean Koontz is one of the best Suspense/Intrigue authors, in my book. I have read many of his books & whenever I start on one of them, I just can't put it down 'til I've finished it.

Dean says that Odd's story is a 'gift'...I am not sure that he entirely sees that it's not just a gift to HIM. For those of us out there in this world, trying to do the right thing, against overwhelming odds, (Hah!) carrying our own burdens of griefs, losses and betrayals...the Odd One's adventures are a breath of fresh air, and an infusion of strength and courage! This series is a triumph. I will grieve when it ends, as Koontz now assures us it will, but will hope that this author will be inspired in this way again, when he puts Odd away. I am a social worker, with 'spiritual gifts' and understand, to some extent, what this character struggles with, though not to his extreme. It never ceases to amaze me how Mr. Koontz 'gets it right' with characters like this. The motivations, the reactions, the myriad of tiny details that so many authors miss, or blow completely, he not only sees, but remains consistent with from start to finish. If someone allowed me lunch with one famous person in my lifetime, I would pick Mr. Koontz. His book, "The Face" to me was one of the most masterful books ever written....but Odd is as endearing to me as a brother. Thank you, Dean Koontz, for allowing this gift to flow through you to all of us that needed him...and thanks to your 'inspirer"!

Odd continues to be charming - well written plot

I continue to enjoy this series. I am not sure you'd understand this book without reading the first three. New captivating characters are fun/impactful/intriguing - and the ending seems to ensure we'll get another book featuring Odd (hurray). If you have enjoyed the past three - you'll enjoy this one as well.

Odd Hours- the next Odd Thomas book

Odd Thomas is back in another excellent page turner. His ability to speak with the dead continues to invade his life and peace. The blood red tide is the next problem in his unusual life. This is standard Koontz, a page turner with an excellent plot line. A must have for the Koontz fan.

This book and the series is great... you definitely can't put it down (page turner). Dean Koontz writes the best books, I was so pleased when he came out with another Odd Thomas book. You should definitely put this on your "to read" lists.

Odd Hours by Dean Koontz

In Odd Hours, as with the previous three Odd Thomas books, Odd is still tripping along with Boo and the Chairman of the Board.

I was pleasantly surprised when this fourth book in the series was announced and even more excited when I finally got it and started to devour it. My only problem with this book, as well as the other three, is that I just cannot get enough of the main character, his adventures and his lost love, Stormy.

This addition to the Odd Thomas series will not disappoint the fans of the previous three books. In addition, I am sure that this will not be the last of the Odd Thomas series. Too many readers have come to love Odd with his unique talents as well as his adventures. The readers who continue with this series by reading Odd Hours will be just as pleased with it as with the others in the series. This is one of Dean Koontz' books that will keep you on the edge of your seat and pleading for more.

"YOU ARE DESTINED TO BE TOGETHER FOREVER."

Odd Hours by seller tam062476

The book was falsely advertised by seller tam062476. Was a book club edition and was advertised as brand new first edition hard cover. Very poor communication and a rip off artist. Would not recommend this seller to anyone. Seller should be banned from ebay for ripping people off. When I emailed seller about item I received no response.

I started the Odd Thomas series when all but Odd Hours were on the shelves and quickly ready through them, so I couldn't wait to get my hands on Odd Hours. I love the development of the main character, particularly his perception of his circumstances and wit. I typically don't care to recommend reading, because everyone looks for different things from their reading. I find the entire series to be entertaining, well-written, and easy to read. Can't wait for the next Odd book!
