by: wv5d (127Feedback is 100 to 499) Review created: 07/02/08

This book is really a good book. It offers a realistic look into the world of financial independence. The concepts used are reality checkpoints. To get a thorough perception of what's being presented, the reader will HAVE to maintain an open mind. Excellent book.

Real Asset!
by: fthomaz69 (65Feedback is 50 to 99) Review created: 04/27/08

Highly Recommended for everyone. Really one of the best audio books out there. There's no false promises, no false statements, only a new way of seeing the reality of our economic system out there.

A real investment in our best asset - The mind!!!

Rich Dad Poor Dad

One thing this book does is that it seeks to cover one big irony in our education system ... we learn a lot of Maths in school but nothing on how to manage our money.

One very important lesson learned is that one should always seek to acquire money making assets and not assets that creates liabilities. When you have enough money making assets, then you can truly retire and be finacially free.

It is a must read book for everyone, including your children.

Don't Just Read this, Review It from Time to Time!
by: buffet72 (29Feedback is 10 to 49) Review created: 03/13/08
4 out of 4 people found the following review helpful.

This book reads like a novel but it's not. The story is real and could fit anyone. There are many nuggets of advice that you can use, so much so that I recommend you read with a highlighter, so that you can review these nuggets of wisdom. It worked for him, and as he says, there are many who'd followed his advice and done well.
I've kept a few of his nuggets and review them every now and then. Like, asking, "How can I afford it?" instead of saying, "I can't afford it." "You're only poor if you give up."
What struck me as obvious but strangely not made universal is his advocating teaching financial literacy to young people. Even adults missed this important lesson in life, and carried on like the hamster in the running wheel. "Come tomorrow morning, they'll still be in the same cage: great job."
I liked the part where he reminded the reader that Land was wealth 300 years ago. Then, it was factories and production. He predicted that, today, it is information. However, information travels at the speed of light. There are no boundaries or borders. He went on to predict that "there will be a dramatic increase of millionaires." I agree.
Don't just read this book. Take action after reading it!
