Takes out on an amazing trip through-out the whole ocean, from the shallows to the blue deep. A must have for any ages. Once you start to look at it you wont want to stop. Great open-up creative and organized DVD case to keep your collection clean and free of scratches. Best underwater documentary I have ever seen about our planet's oceans.

Set to an exelent score, the blue planet is wonderful in it's scope. We were thrilled with the great cinematography. We already had the series Planet Earth and had to have the companion series. We were not disapointed.

Pierce Brosnan narrates current version? Confirmation?

Its a great series, but once again, this has been put out since its original 2001 showing in several formats, the David Attenborough narration with 4 discs, a movie version, and another 5 disc version, and I cannot find adequate confirmation on whether the newest version with what is reported to be Pierce Brosnan doing the narration is even available. The 2007 release has the giant wave photo on the front of the box, but again, I cannot verify who is narrating this version and whether it is a reboxed set of the David Attenborough version with the added 5th disc with additional footage. Hope this helps, I personally would prefer to buy the version I am viewing so there are no surprises :)

Ride Calypso!

What can I say? The cinematography of this series and Planet Earth are unparalleled in nature documentaries. Blue Planet particularly will take you places and show you wildlife you've never seen before. As the series explains, there have been more people on the moon than in the deepest parts of the ocean. Where Jacques Cousteau left off, the BBC has taken up the gauntlet of given us reason to protect our world's waters and that which lives in them.
