In my first time to the US and NY I decided to see a Broadway show. It was an incredible experience, especially because The Colour Purple, which I totally recomend. This cd is the closest you'll get to that experience, and even who never saw it can get a pretty god glance of the show. Great actors, singers and musicians all together im memorable cd. | |

I have seen the play in New York. I absolutely loved it!!! The CD is wonderful I listen to it all the time. It was my first broadway play and the CD brings back the memories of that evening. I tell everyone I know about this CD. If you have not seen the play, the CD will make you want to. | |

I was so fortunate to see The Color Purple on Broadway in New York City during August, 2006. When I returned home I regretted not buying the CD. Luckily I found it on EBAY. The CD is the entire play in music. I love it. Every time I play it in the car it takes me back to the play in New York City. The clarity of the singer's voices is perfect. THANK YOU!!!! | |

I love all the songs in the show. I saw an online clip of the perforance and caught the perforance on the Oprah show and just fell in love with the music. of course I saw the movie but the songs on the cd are so much more and just great to listen to. | |
