This book is FABULOUS!!! It is a discovery that there are 5 main love languages that we all speak and we are dominant in one main one. Most couples do NOT share the same dominant love language... so learning your spouse's love language as well as your own is just a GREAT THING for any marriage! This book gives you a deep understanding of how we relate to each other, and how we fail to relate! I was THRILLED to find out that there are other books on this subject by the same author about The Five Love Languages of Children and also The Five Love Languages of Teenagers! I am reading those now. WOW!!! What eye openers! Kids have different ideas of what makes them feel the most loved that we as parents are CLUELESS about! This book is definitely an easy read for any age or any reason. It is written under the category of marriage self help, but this book reflects ideas how to properly understand and communicate with anyone in everyday life. Author Gary Chapman allows the reader to believe that he is in the same room speaking directly to him. It is a must read!! | |

I sent seller three emails through ebay and again through PayPal and never heard back. The claim has now been escalated and still no word from the seller. I'm waiting for the investigation to complete and expect to have PayPal refund my money. I can only assume the seller had some sort of personal disaster, as she used to have good ratings. | |

I first checked this book out from the library and then decided there was so much good material in it that I wanted to own my own copy. However, the e-bay purchase did not work out and I never did obtain my own copy. This approach implys that each of us seeks "love" in different ways and that if we are knowledgeable about the way our partner needs to receive affirmation about your relationship that you will be filling their "love tank" so to speak. Their are specific examples and easy to follow directions. The "love language" that works for you may not work for your partner and so you need to explore what works best for him/her. A short book that packs a big punch and worth reading. | |
