I BOUGHT THIS BOX SET BECAUSE I LOVE TO HEAR DIFFENT OUTTAKES OF ELVIS PRESLEY'S MUSIC, I AM A HUGE ELVIS FAN AND TO LISTEN TO THE SONGS WE HAVE LISTENED TO FOR SO MANY YEARS SUNG IN A DIFFERENT WAY BY ELVIS IS ENJOYABLE TO ME, AND THE PERSON I BOUGHT THEM FROM WENT TO SCHOOL WITH ELVIS AND HAS MET HIM WHICH MAKES IT VERY PERSONAL....I AM AN ELVIS FAN, I ALWYAS HAVE BEEN AND I ALWAYS WILL BE.....I CAN NEVER GET TOO MUCH OF ELVIS | |

It`s a nice 4-cd box set, that includes many songs from his hole career 1954-1977. Many of the tracks are previously unreleased, so it`s a great collectors item. What can I say...wow! | |

100 tracks all digitally remastered. 99 of these are alternate versions (mostly alternate takes). One has been released before, namely take 8 of 'Anything That's Part Of You'. The live takes from Little Rock have also been out, but only on so-called Semi-official releases. Features the newly discovered Today, Tomorrow and Forever duet with Ann-Margret, and an outtake of 'Are You Lonesome Tonight' and 'Pieces Of My Life', also lost for ages. Well, to sum things up: this will NOT appeal to a wide audience. But for the collectors, it's a must-have! | |
