Synopsis
Jack and Annie are transported back through time to the days of the Roman Empire. Unfortunately, they've arrived in the city of Pompeii on the very day it was destroyed by a volcanic eruption. Will Jack and Annie perish in Pompeii? B&w illustrations accompany the text.

Their magic tree house takes Annie and Jack to Pompeii just as Vesuvius is about to erupt, and they must find a Roman scroll before everything is covered with burning ash.
